The clean up continues today after the severe storms that hit Houston. Over 500,000 CenterPoint customers are still without power, and while they expect to have most of the outages restored early next week, some of the heavily damaged areas will take several days.
Also this morning, Mayor John Whitmire announced that the city is opening up resource centers to help Houstonian's with storm recovery.
The centers are located in specific city council districts with the greatest need. Each site will have ice and water and act as a drive-thru distribution center.
