The Senate has passed a bill that could lead to a ban on the social media app TikTok.
The bill is tied to a broader foreign aid package that cleared the chamber Tuesday evening. The legislation would force TikTok's China-based parent company ByteDance to sell the app or face a ban from U.S. devices and networks.
The bill also includes $60 billion in aid for Ukraine, $26 billion for Israel, and an additional $8 billion for security in Taiwan and the Indo-Pacific.
It now heads to President Biden's desk.
