Procrastinating Houstonians are left stranded as the Internal Revenue Service Taxpayer Assistance Center in southwest Houston shuttered early yesterday.
A line formed at the door by 9 Saturday morning when they were supposed to open but the CPA doing the tax work didn’t show up.
Our tv partner News 2 contacted the Internal Revenue Service, who said they will take extra steps tomorrow to ensure they are fully staffed and will have extra people available on phone lines. t
The IRS says you can get an automatic extension until October 15 by visiting IRS.gov online.
