As the 2024 election gets closer, leftists are beginning to worry that Donald Trump may have a shot at victory, which means he may have a chance to replace Justice Sotomayor on the Supreme Court.

Democrats are concerned that 2024 might be a repeat of 2016 when Ruth Bader Ginsburg decided to wait to resign, ultimately leading to Donald Trump filling three different Supreme Court seats during his 2017-2021 term.

Political Strategist Vlad Davidiuk told KTRH, if the Democrats were confident in Joe Biden's ability to defeat Trump in November, they would not be calling for the 69-year-old justice to retire from the court.

Davidiuk says that Sotomayor announcing her retirement could provide Biden a strong boost in voter turnout. He says Biden could announce intentions to replace Sotomayor with a like-minded justice, without naming a specific candidate.

Davidiuk says this would encourage voters who want to use the Supreme Court to push their radical leftist agenda to show up for him in November.
