Another Bad Inflation Report

Inflation remains sticky, as prices went up higher than expected in March.

The report was worse than expectations, as prices rose by 0.4% last month, with the headline number being 3.5%. That is nearly double where the Federal Reserve wants it at.

Despite those numbers, the White House claims that President Biden's economic policies are working. Financial analyst Stephanie Pomboy says America sees through the spin.

"The average American is living a real inflation story that's totally different," Pomboy said.

The Biden Administration also blames former President Donald Trump. But economist Peter Morici says that also isn't true.

"Biden has this steaming inflation from spending all this money, whereas Donald Trump gave money back to folks, and they didn't have all this inflation," Morici said.

Now the question is what the Fed will do with interest rates. Their next meeting is at the end of the month.
