The Society for Human Resource Management did a survey of office employees and found 66% of U.S. workers say they have been a witness to acts of incivility at work just in the past month alone.
People who are unsatisfied in their career path are three times more likely to express job dissatisfaction. 33% don't think things will get much better.
The people who regard their jobs as being uncivil are inclined to become grumpy, negative influences in the office. Civility has to be directed from the main office.
"I think it's a challenge for employers to maintain because you've got groups of people from different walks of life. But it's important to set the expectation," Texas employment attorney Javier Perez tells KTRH News.
People who don't like their job are twice as likely as other employees to just gather up their belongings and walk out.
