China is becoming more aggressive by the day, and the Middle East is gripped by war, so you'd think that now, more than ever, would be the perfect time to strengthen our navy. However, Joe Biden disagrees.
In his recent budget proposal submitted to Congress, Joe Biden made cuts that would slow the production of the new Ford Class aircraft carriers by 2 years. These new carriers would have been a critical asset at a time when America's navy, one of our most powerful military deterrents, is spread thin in almost every corner of the world.
The new ships' abilities to do everything from launch drones to carry lasers would have been particularly helpful in the face of an increasingly aggressive China, which has been rapidly ramping up its own navy over the last few years and increasing its aggression in the South China Sea.
National Security Expert Ed Turzanski told KTRH, "90% of life is showing up. You show up on an aircraft carrier." Turzanski says he wants to know, if Biden isn't going to spend this money on an aircraft carrier, what is it being spent on?
