Former President Donald Trump has lost his bid to delay the Non Disclose Agreement case in New York involving Stormy Daniels.

In his ruling, Judge Juan Merchan said, "The fact that the [Trump] waited until a mere 17 days prior to the scheduled trial date... to file the motion, raises real questions about the sincerity and actual purpose of the motion."

The ruling comes after Merchan expanded a gag order on Trump to include family members of those involved in the case. Merchan’s daughter has longtime Democrat ties, including a connection with Adam Schiff, the California Congressman who was one of the main drivers of the Russia investigation.

Trump’s attorneys renewed a request to have Merchan step aside following the expansion of that gag order.

Jury selection in this case is scheduled to start on April 15th.
