As Americans try to find new ways to slow or even stop the immigration crisis, Democrat officials from the President all the way down to local mayors are finding new benefits to hand out to illegal immigrants. So far, they're succeeding, and depending on where you end up, the benefits illegals get would make a five-star vacation blush.
The American Thinker's Monica Showalter argues that this proves Biden is lying when he says he's taking the border seriously. She says not only could Biden close the border if he wanted to, but these benefits incentivize more illegal immigration.
Showalter says, "Wouldn't you be telling your relatives about this? You'd be a fool to stay home. The migrants talk to each other, especially with their families, and they say 'move on up here.'"
These benefit programs also serve to grow bureaucracies. They result in higher spending going out to more and more government contractors. Showalter referred to it as "The Immigration Industrial Complex."
