Donald Trump hush money trial to begin April 15th as judge denies delay

After picking up a legal win in New York, having his civil fraud trial bond lowered by over half, Donald Trump had to take a legal loss on Monday.

The judge in his Stormy Daniel's hush money trial denied Trump's request for a delayed start to the trial, setting a start date of April 15th.

He spoke afterward, calling the entire thing election interference.

"I do not know how you can have a trial going on in the middle of an election...it is not fair...it is not fair," he said "But he knows that. He is a Democrat judge."

Lawyers for Trump argued that Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg was late in turning over documents related to key witnesses, and they needed more time. The judge said Bragg was not at fault.

Trump pleaded not guilty last year for allegedly covering up 130-thousand-dollars in hush money payments to Daniels before the 2016 election.
