U.S. rescues 47 Americans from Haiti on chartered aircraft to Miami, FL

U.S. rescued 47 Americans on a chartered flight from Haiti to Miami this afternoon. Gang related violence has disrupted life in Haiti and the Americans there are anxious to flee. Gangs control 80% of Port Au Prince and the International Airport there. The U.S. State Department has advised Americans not to travel to Haiti as it has grave concerns about their safety there.
