A recently-hired Texas A-and-M football analyst and son of an Aggie assistant coach is accused of poisoning his pregnant girlfriend last year.
Blaise Allen Taylor was arrested by U.S. Marshals Thursday in Logan, Utah.
Taylor, a former defensive analyst at Utah State, was working as a scout for the Tennessee Titans when the alleged poisoning happened in Nashville on February 25th, 2023.
His 25-year-old girlfriend Jade Benning was five months pregnant at the time and died on March 6th, 2023, about a week after her unborn child died.
A Nashville grand jury indicted the 27-year-old Taylor on two counts of first-degree murder.
Texas A-and-M announced Friday night that Taylor has been suspended "pending an investigation," according to a CNN report.
Taylor's father, Trooper Taylor, is an associate offensive head coach and a running backs coach for the Aggies.
