A two year old child was shot while playing outside of a home near the downtown area last night. The child is reportedly in stable condition.
Houston Police Executive Assistant Chief Larry Satterwhite said numerous people were outside of their homes on Gillette Street, enjoying the evening, when at least four vehicles passed by and shots were fired as the vehicles crossed Ruthven Street.
HPD is not sure who the intended target was, and thinks there were two shooters involved.
They are also looking for a tot of four vehicles:
- Four-door black truck that's lifted with a potential light bar
- Four-door black sedan
- Silver Nissan or similar vehicle
- Champagne-colored car, though police are unsure if this car was involved
