It's Spring Break time in Texas - many folks are planning to hit the road and the slopes or beaches. 90% of Americans surveyed by IPX 1031 said they plan to travel this year. With the economic outlook appearing somewhat gloomy, how many folks will actually travel, and how?
Allison Hadley, Spokesperson for IPX1031, says that more American's are planning to budget for their spring break and summer travels this year - on average about $5,300 per person. About 15% have already cancelled travel plans due to the cost.
Some will use travel rewards and credit card points to cover part of the costs of their travel. "Staycations" and "workcations" are also being touted as ways to get some time off without blowing the budget.
