The Harris County Sheriff’s Office said a 3-year-old died after being found unresponsive in a pool at a south Harris County apartment complex Saturday.
Deputies responded to a call of a missing child at the apartment complex located in the 3500 block of S. Sam Houston Pkwy E.
Deputies found the child unresponsive in the apartment pool when they arrived.
Deputies worked to provide life-saving measures before EMS transported the 3-year-old girl to a hospital. She was later pronounced dead.
The sheriff’s office said the family members of the apartment were at work and the child’s older brothers were watching her when the incident happened.
