American men are staying out of the workforce due in large part to the surge of illegal aliens occupying many low-level jobs. Currently, 2.9 million illegal aliens are employed in the United States, and many are doing under-the-table jobs for cash to get around employment restrictions.
PJ Media's Catherine Salgado told KTRH, 'They do not have any right to be here. And it's even worse that they're taking jobs and income away from Americans, especially in this economy, which is already so difficult as it is.'
Salgado says this also creates a burden on taxpayers because illegals working under-the-table jobs often take advantage of various welfare programs and don't pay any money back in taxes. She says, "Not only are they taking jobs that Americans could be taking, but they're also receiving money back from local and federal governments."
The solution is clear: Congress needs to step up and demand that our immigration and employment laws be strictly enforced.
