As polls and experts predicted, Donald Trump has been declared winner of the Michigan Republican primary.
Trump easily defeated his opponent Nikki Haley, with the race being called not long after final polls closed. This comes after Trump defeated Haley by close to 30 points in her home state of South Carolina.
Haley has vowed to stay in the race, regardless of the result in Michigan.
The win essentially secures the GOP nomination for Trump, with Super Tuesday still to come next week.
Trump, meanwhile, is set to visit the Texas border on Thursday, the same day as President Joe Biden.
