Despite what special interest groups might tell you, oil and gas jobs are good for the Texas economy, and they're a necessity. Oil and gas provide roughly 80% of all Texas energy and do so more cleanly than almost any other country on earth. Yet, environmental groups still attack the Texas oil and gas industry.
Energy expert Jason Isaac says, "It's so pervasive...kids as young as kindergarten are learning very biased, negative things about the energy we produce in this state."
He says this crusade against fossil fuels will have disastrous consequences. "They're just so critical in everything that we do."
Isaac also said that Texas should be doing more to ensure that oil and gas education is made available to students and encourage students to pursue lucrative careers in the oil and gas industry.
