Houston - we have a World Cup! Seven Matches played in Houston in 2026

Houston will host seven matches during FIFA World Cup in 2026 - it was announced on Sunday, February 4, 2024. Matches will be played at NRG Stadium. Arlington, Texas - home of AT&T Stadium, will host nine matches - the most of any venue in the Series.

The finals will be played at The Meadowlands in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Mexico and Canada will also host matches duding the 2026 World Cup Series.

Houston Mayor John Whitmire said via X "I am thrilled to hear that FIFA has unveiled the game schedule for the 2-26 World Cup, including the City of Houston. Hosting such a prestigious event will provide an incredible opportunity for our city to showcase its culture, hospitality, and infrastructure on a global stage. We are committed to working closely with FIFA to ensure that all preparations are in place to welcome the world and provide an unforgettable experience for players, fans and visitors."
