As House Republicans move forward towards impeachment of DHS Sec. Alejandro Mayorkas, many are concerned that the whole proceeding is a GOP production. It's just a show, political theater.
But according to political commentator and attorney, Hans von Spakovsky, it should be done because it needs to be done.
"Alejandro Mayorkas should be impeached" said von Spakovsky, "And the fact that the Senate may or may not convict the individual they impeach should not stop them in the House from doing their duty."
It's been a dereliction of duty by Mayorkas, who has allowed nearly 10 million illegals to enter into the United States, willfully ignoring and violating federal law. The law that he swore to uphold when he took office.
But the Democrat led Senate doesn't see it that way, so is the impeachment of Mayorkas just a waste of time?
"I don't think it's a waste of time at all" von Spakovsky told KTRH, "It helps illustrate to the American people just what kind of wrong doing is going on in the federal government when it comes to the immigration issue."
The show must go on, and it will in Washington. Just like the Biden-border crisis.
