Realtor Freddie Smith tells Fox News Digital with average costs for a home hovering above the $400,000 mark, first time buyers aren't able to get into the housing market.
According to U.S. Census data, the average salary in the U.S. is just under $75,000 a year.
Smith says unlike their parents and grandparents, many millennials and those younger are saddled with student loan debt.
