The Harris County Runoff Election Is Saturday…Can We Trust The Results?

Early voting is over, and the Harris County Runoff Election is set for tomorrow.

We know that John Whitmire is expected to defeat fellow Democrat Sheila Jackson Lee, to become Houston's next Mayor. The real question is, can we still trust the results?

"I think so" said Wayne Dolcefino, with Dolcefino Consulting, "Now that our elections are back in the hands of elected officials, I'm confident. This is a city wide election, and I'm confident we will believe the results because I'm not sure it's even going to be that close."

We know what the results are expected to be, but we're still not sure when we will actually get them.

"I still would not expect those election day results to be coming in immediately" said Rice University's, Mark Jones, "And it may take us until the early morning until we know who wins some of the at-large Council races, which could be much closer than the mayoral contest."

The polls will be open on Saturday from 7am to 7pm.
