A recent report from All Star Home has several Houston area communities near the top of its rankings of the most "House Rich" communities in the country
The study ranks Sugarland, Texas; Pearland, Texas and League City, Texas 3rd, 5th and 7th on its list of most "House Rich" communities in the U.S.
Census Data was used to calculate a House Rich score using a Home Value to Income ratio and the percentage of homes that are occupied by owners. All three of these communities had owner-occupied percentages that were greater than 75% - making their owners relatively "House Rich". In addition, the relative affordability of homes in these communities pushed their ranking higher as well. The incomes of residents in these communities also factored into these rankings.
Houston was ranked #12 on the list of Major U.S cities for House Richness.
