A new study from Glassdoor Economic Research says Gen Z'ers will outnumber Boomers in the full-time workforce. Daniel Zhao, Lead Economist with Glassdoor Economic Research says that demographics are behind this phenomenon - as more Boomers retire and more Gen Z's enter the full-time workforce. And, Zhao says, differing attitudes between these generations will, eventually, lead to changes in workplace culture. Younger workers often have substantially different attitudes and opinions about the workplace than there older counterparts.
Gen X and Millennial workers will still make up the majority of full-time workers. COVID 19 permanently changed the workplace and younger workers will engage in the workplace in ways that are different that their elders. Attitudes and loyalty are among the areas where differences might be found. Younger workers tend to feel that work/life balance is more important to them, for example.
