In case you weren't keeping score at home, there were 774 new laws that went into effect in Texas on September 1st. But unfortunately the story is not the laws, it's the lawsuits.
"Every significant legislation that advances a common sense conservative agenda, ends up getting challenged in court" said attorney and legal expert, Gary Polland, "And when they get the right court, or the right judge, they're able to slow the process down."
That would include new laws like the Texas 'drag' ban, or election reform, both of which have been temporarily blocked by radical judges. But ultimately in the end, they will prevail.
"I think we will" Polland told KTRH, "I think we have a common sense Texas Supreme Court, we have a common sense 5th Circuit Court of Appeals, so I think they're going to come into play. My concern is this, that we have some judges who are not on the bench to follow the law, they're on the bench to advance their ideological agenda."
It's a process that Polland says is now the "new normal" in American politics.
