Nobody Out Side-Hustles Katy

This nugget of effort comes to KTRH News by way of LegalZoom. Check it out, man. Greater Houston dominates the top 10.

Congratulations, Houstonites! According to a new list from LegalZoom, Katy, TX ranks #1 with the most small businesses formed per capita among a list of 35,000 cities across the country. With Spring, TX and Houston itself inside the top 10, the Houston area is one of the highest-ranked metro areas embracing side hustles and turning to the gig economy.

Ultimately, the latest data from LegalZoom revealed that Houston and its surrounding areas are the most popular places to start off, followed by Los Angeles, CA and Pittsburgh, PA.

These findings come on the heels of the State of the Side Hustle survey from LZ, the category leader in supporting entrepreneurs looking to form and grow their own businesses. 60% of respondents began their side hustles after the pandemic’s peak in 2020, with many of them making Texas their home base.
