Nehls to KTRH: A Trump arrest would "backfire" on the left

Former President Donald Trump says he expects to be arrested tomorrow, as a grand jury in New York continues to hear testimony about hush payments made to porn star Stormy Daniels years ago. Texas Congressman Troy Nehls says he thinks an indictment is coming for sure.

"I do believe that the President will get indicted tomorrow. Does that mean he'll be arrested? I don't know," Nehls told Houston's Morning News.

Nehls says this latest witch hunt is nothing more than political theatre.

"Well of course. Look what they did to Tom DeLay. They indicted him for campaign activities, and he was cleared," Nehls stated.

The two term Congressman also called out Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.

"It will backfire on him. He went out there and went shopping for grand juries," Nehls said.

Ultimately, Nehls says this helps Trump in his 2024 campaign.

"The left despises him. But this is going to help him. They are so concerned about him for 2024," Nehls explained.
