American voters made it clear earlier this month. They want Republicans in charge of the purse strings, after the Biden administrations spending and policies have put us into a recession, while boosting inflation to a 40-year high.
With a little over a month left to go until we get to January, it's another 'lame duck' session for congress, which usually means that nothing gets done. But the Democrats aren't done yet.
"You can do all kinds of different lawmaking in the 'lame duck', but the big one is spending bills, or what we call an omnibus appropriations bill, which is all 12 packaged into one thousand page bill" said Eric Teetsel, Vice President of Government relations with the Heritage Foundation, "And they'll try to pass it in the middle of the night on Christmas eve."
Which is exactly what the Democrats are planning to do, even though passing another massive spending bill during a 'lame duck' session has never happened before.
And if you think that the economy and inflation is bad now? Another Dems spending spree would make things even worse. Much worse.
"We've got this inflation just running wild, and it's hurting real people, and yet we have a government that continues to want to spend money that we just don't have" Teetsel told KTRH, "This administration, and Democrats in congress, they love to spend money and it has to be said, they couldn't do this without some Republicans."
Will they be able to do it again? We will find out soon enough.
