City leaders say a planned merger between two railroads could be troublesome for Houston.
Mayor Sylvester Turner stated that the merger of Canadian Pacific Railway and Kansas City Southern could result in as many as 14 more trains rolling through the area.
Houston officials say trains already stop for hours at a time and block intersections.
They say more trains in Houston will mean more mobility and safety problems for commuters, residents, and businesses.
