The funeral for Archbishop Emeritus Joesph Fiorenza begins with visitation Tuesday night at 7:15 at the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart in downtown Houston, followed by a rosary at 8:30.
The Archbishop will lie in state for public viewing Wednesday from 9 in the morning until 7 in the evening, followed by a Solemn Vigil Liturgy at 7.
A funeral mass is Thursday afternoon at 2 followed by a private rite of committal.
The archbishop died last Monday at age 91 at a Beaumont Hospital after months of illness.
Archbishop Fiorenza was bishop of the Diocese of Galveston-Houston from 1985 to 2006.
He was elevated to Archbishop by Pope St. John II in 2004.
