Houston Parks and Recreation is offering incentives to persuade people to work at the city swimming pools this summer.
In order to keep Houston's 37 community pools open during the season, the city needs 188 pool supervisors, head lifeguards, and lifeguards.
Parks and Rec Director Kenneth Allen says so far they have 30.
Anybody who hires on will receive a $150 incentive payment at the start of the season, and another $150 at the end. The season starts on May 28th this year.
Teens who have turned 16 by May 31st of this year can apply.
