First 2021 GardenLine Appearance: Let the horticultural recovery begin

Thanks to Winter Storm Uri and its aftermath, several nurseries and garden centers that had scheduled spring GardenLine appearances have asked to delay them a bit. That makes perfect sense, and we will set future dates for them. But the postponements offer an opportunity to fill the open slots with a few more visits to Greater Houston Ace Hardware stores.

So, we’ll start our spring appearance schedule this Saturday at one of the newest locations: League City Ace Hardware, 1915 W. League City Parkway, just west of Interstate 45. This appearance and book-signing was originally set for April 2020 (big COVID ugh!), and I’ll be there 11 a.m.-1 p.m. for sure. But, I’ll stay until 2 or even later if folks are still in line for questions about horticultural freeze recovery.

The store is stocking up on every product called for in my Nine Rules of Freeze Recovery, plus anything else you could possibly need for lawn and soil care. They are also putting my new book on sale at a serious discount, because it will be an essential tool when it comes to replacing plants and fixing soils. If you have any follow-up questions, come see me.

The book will be just $10 on Saturday and Sunday! That’s longtime Ace employee Edie T. holding a few in the photo near the store’s well-stocked garden section. So, strap on a mask, come on out to get your signed copy, then head home to get busy bringing your lawn and garden back to life.

At the very least, come by to stock up on soil-fixing organics from Micro-Life and Medina. You’ll need these products to bounce your lawn back as soon as possible.
