A Re-introduction of My New Book

Please indulge me as I redo the introduction of my latest book, New Decade Gardening: A Gulf Coast Guide. I’m calling this “take 2,” thanks to COVID-19 … it was only on sale for about a month last year before the pandemic shut everything down.

Yes, the book was still available at some nurseries, feed stores and hardware stores that stocked up early, but we had to cancel all appearances, book signings and home and garden shows after March 10.

Later, though, we learned we could pull off some events at bigger Ace Hardware stores and outdoor garden centers and stay within the CDC guidelines. So, in late November and early December, I was able to do a few autograph sessions, allowing some folks to get signed books for Christmas presents.

We are setting up a schedule of new book signings, but they’re still a month away, and I believe many people need this book ASAP – a number of chapters contain important info for now through May. So, remember it’s available at most nurseries, garden centers, feed stores and hardware stores that have a long-standing connection with GardenLine.

But since I am the book’s sole “distributor,” I need some help out there. If you’re a retailer that got supplied last year, please check your inventory, and let me know if you need to be re-stocked. Just shoot an email to Randy@ktrh.com with the subject line “New Book.” I promise I will get you some copies within 48 hours.

And if you’re a listener unable to find a copy at our favorite retailers, you can also send me the same sort of email.

As I said, a few book signings and appearances are now being scheduled at garden centers and Ace Hardware stores, but the plan won’t be finalized for another week. We’re even hoping to be at a socially distanced home show or two where you can get a signed copy. But the first of those probably won’t be happening until late February, and I truly would like to get this edition into people’s hands quickly. It will be a valuable tool to have on hand as we get really busy in our lawns and landscapes in just a couple of weeks.

If you’re new to the area or the GardenLine radio show … or even if you’ve been listening for years … you can benefit from this new publication. A testimonial on the back cover says, “…it’s like having GardenLine the radio show at your side 24/7.” If you liked any of my three previous self-published books, I promise you’ll love this one.
