Poinsettias With a Purpose

As many longtime GardenLine fans know, a couple of charitable concerns are near-and-dear to my heart.

One is The Brookwood Community, a spiritual, educational and vocational campus for adults with disabilities, which is also world-famous for growing the most amazing poinsettias on earth! I stopped by early this week to stock up on some, have lunch with my wife, and get in a little shopping.

While we were there, I learned about a special program they are doing with a portion of their crop this year because of the Coronavirus.

Here’s their message about how it works:

Double-up on doing good with beautiful Brookwood Citizen-grown poinsettias! Purchase a small poinsettia for $9.25 plus tax, and we will deliver it in time for the holidays to those who are alone, in quarantine, in need, or to first responders. Donate them to Senior Living Centers, Retirement Homes, or even Food Banks. Any place that needs a little Christmas flare! Thank you for supporting Brookwood and helping others!
You can participate by visiting one of our three retail stores, shopping our online store, or purchase them online at www.brookwoodcommunity.org/blog/poinsettias-with-a-purpose/. Or if you have any questions about this wonderful program, please contact us at operations@brookwoodcommunity.org and we will do our best to assist.
All of us at Brookwood wish you all the very best this holiday season!

The "Poinsettias With a Purpose" program was just launched on Wednesday, so now’s the time to participate. I love this idea and think you will, too. In fact, I’m hoping the GardenLine audience can totally buy them out! Brookwood doesn’t say “get several” for the donation program, but I do! So, please purchase more than one if you can.
