We haven’t been able to do any GardenLine appearances or book signings since March. But since Sunday is Father’s Day, we decided it was high time to do something with my new book, New Decade Gardening – A Gulf Coast Guide.
So, this Saturday at The Arbor Gate on FM 2920 in Tomball, I'll be autographing copies from 10:30 a.m., until at least 2 p.m. Maybe until as late as 3.
The nurseries, garden centers, hardware and feed stores I speak for, and who also have plenty of books, have all been open as essential businesses since day one of this COVID-19 stuff. Unfortunately, we had to cancel every appearance and book signing because of social distancing and other precautions. So, Mrs. Beverly of The Arbor Gate and I came up with the idea of doing a book signing outdoors, respecting all the CDC guidelines. I’ll be wearing a mask and gloves to get a signed new book into your hands, and a new pavilion next door will provide plenty of room for social distancing.
If it’s hot, they’ll have plenty of fans out there, too.
I’ve committed to being on hand for more time than usual because it isn’t likely that we’ll be able to have any similar events until November. So, take advantage of this opportunity to get a signed copy. It would make a great last-minute Father's Day gift.
You’ll have to purchase the book from me at the pavilion if you want it signed, but be sure to stroll through the entire inspiring nursery we love so much.
If you plan to ask me questions about gardening issues or have me look at sample problems, please keep them one or two for this event. If you need more complex help from Randy Lemmon Consulting, I’ll be offering $50 off if you book a session while I’m there on Saturday.
You’ll find The Arbor gate at 15635 FM 2920, about a mile and a half west of Highway 249.
