Officers blocked off the area near Austin at Pease and began loading boxes of material from the business at 1620 Austin St. into a truck. The effort went on for several hours, and what the agents were seeking wasn't disclosed. The company also has offices in Stafford and southwest Houston which were not open Wednesday.

In a statement, the FBI said, "Given the ongoing nature of the matter, we are not permitted to comment further."

AAble Bail Bonds is one of the largest such companies in the Houston area, and Harris County court records indicate it has in excess of $150 million felony bonds currently outstanding.

The Harris County Bail Bond Association says AAble is known for handling high risk bonds, often with little collateral, for high-profile individuals. The company advertises itself as a family-owned business known for its "trust, reliability, and confidentiality." According to the company's website, its owner is Sheba Muharib. It does not appear at this point that Muharib has been charged with a crime.
