Another Carnival cruise ship will soon make the Port of Galveston its home.
Carnival Cruise Line announced on Thursday that Carnival Jubilee will be based on the island, starting in 2023.
The Jubilee will be the third Excel-class ship in the Carnival fleet, and will feature a roller coaster and a three-deck atrium.
The ship will accommodate more than 5,400 guests and 1,700 crew members for seven-day Caribbean cruises.
Carnival says the new ship is four-times the size of the original Jubilee, which also sailed from Galveston.
