On Friday (September 17), Cheap Trick showed the audience at the 2021 iHeartRadio Music Festival how to rock out. The iconic rock band hit the stage at the T-Mobile arena for an epic performance of their biggest hits.

Cheap Trick kicked off their set with their beloved track 'I Want You To Want Me' and immediately had the audience up on their feet. They followed up with 'Dream Police' and 'Surrender.'

The group closed out their electric turn at the iHeartRadio Music Festival with 'Good Night.' With the lyrics "Good night now ladies and gents/That's the end of the show, now it's time to go," there couldn't be a more perfect choice for a final song.

During their iHeartRadio Album Release Party for their most recent album 'In Another World' back in April, Robin Zander and Rick Nielsen both shut down any speculation that they have plans to retire. "However long we can stand up, and they'll let us go out and play," Zander said of his future playing live music. "I don't ever plan on retiring," Nielsen added.

Zander is 68-years-old, while Nielsen is now 72-years-old. Cheap Trick was first formed back in 1973 and has released 20 albums over the course of their nearly 50-year career. In 2016, Cheap Trick was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. In his acceptance speech, Zander first told fans that Cheap Trick plans to keep on rocking for a long time. "You can write 'retirement' on my tombstone," he said.

It seems like Cheap Trick fans can look forward to many more live performances like their iHeart Festival set in the years to come.

If you missed any of the action this weekend, you can relive the 2021 iHeartRadio Music Festival by tuning in to The CW Network on Saturday, October 2nd and Sunday, October 3rd from 8-10pm ET/PT for a two-night television special.
