Whataburger will host a free virtual leadership conference Wednesday, with opportunities to interview online for jobs with the burger chain and some big names offering career advice.
The celebrity speakers will include former NBA All-Star David Robinson, TV chef and restaurateur Aaron Sanchez, and author Jenny Blake.
Blake is also founder of the Pivot Method, a co-sponsor of the event.
The speakers and a number of Whataburger leaders will offer accounts of how they pivoted their careers. Their stories will recount times of doubt and uncertainty, how they found the inspiration to move forward, and the skills and resources they used to find dream careers.
Meanwhile, Whataburger has launched a recruitment campaign to hire more than 50,000 employees in 14 states where it operates. This year, the chain is opening 37 new locations, including several in Austin and Dallas.
