If you thought Joe Biden and the Democrats were done after the massive $1.9 trillion dollar Covid relief bill was jammed through (with only 9% actually going to Covid relief), get ready for the next item on the wish list.
A $3 trillion dollar 'infrastructure' bill.
Asked for his thoughts, popular economist Peter Morici told KTRH, "we should be quite concerned that the infrastructure bill will be abused, just as the stimulus bill was. The American people can only spend so much money without bankrupting the country. The Democrats are surely testing the limits."
According to early reports, only $1 trillion of the money will go to actual infrastructure like roads, bridges, and repairing electrical grids.
"Close your eyes and ask what kind of bill Nancy Pelosi or AOC would write if they had their way?" Morici said. "Well than monies for 'woke' studies at the University of Texas would qualify as an investment."
And it would be added to a list that includes the bulk of the funds, along with green spending, economic inequality, and equity. Or a better way to say it, 'wealth redistribution'.
As for where the monies would come from? That's the easy part. Higher taxes. For everybody.
