Americans Building Immunity Amid More Vaccinations and Recoveries

There's more data coming out proving what some in the government appear to be denying: if you've recovered from COVID-19, you already have some amount of immunity.

Senator Rand Paul recently asked Doctor Anthony Fauci a point-blank question about why he believes certain Americans still need to wear a face mask.

“What studies do you have that people who have had the vaccine or have had the infection are spreading the infection? If we’re not spreading the infection, isn’t it just theater?”

Dr. Fauci’s answer: protection from the variants. However, Houston Medical Doctor Richard Urso says there is some protection if you've recovered from the original COVID-19 strain.

“People who have been exposed have a durable response and those people are going to maybe be protected at least to some degree for maybe even decades. People with a vaccine don’t have as complete of a response, and likely will not be able to do that,” Dr. Urso said.

Urso argues in Texas, we're getting close to herd immunity, counting all the current vaccinations and infections.
