12-Year-Old Girl Accused Of Selling Stun Guns At Florida Middle School

A 12-year-old girl was taken into custody for allegedly selling stun guns to her classmates at Coleman Middle School in Tampa, Florida. A staff member discovered the girl had a stun gun on campus and contacted school officials.

She was removed from class by a school resource officer and admitted to purchasing five Vipertek stun-guns on Amazon, where they sell for $9.99. She told officers that she sold three of the stun guns. The stun guns have yet to be recovered, and it is unknown if she provided the identities of her customers to the police. It is unclear how much she charged her classmates or how she managed to order them online.

Officials said there were no threats made against anyone at the school.

Authorities are asking other parents to search for the stun guns and bring them to the Tampa Police Department as evidence.

The girl was taken to the Hillsborough Juvenile Detention Center and charged with possession of a weapon on school property. It is unclear if she will face additional charges for selling the weapons on school property.
