It's 'The Swamp' for a reason - why many on the right are abandoning Trump

In his final full week in office, President Trump is not only dealing with a last minute attempt by Democrats to try and impeach him again. Sadly, some Republicans are using his exit as an opportunity to boost themselves, and their status in Washington. Rather that speak the truth, that President Trump was not responsible for last week's Capitol chaos as the left would like everyone to believe, they are following the crowd and piling on. Political analyst Brandon Morse of Red State told KTRH, "A lot of them are virtue signaling at this point in time, now they have the opportunity to grandstand." And while nobody would ever condone the violence and rioting that took place, the fact remains there were hundreds of thousands of 'peaceful' protestors who did nothing wrong. Morse says it's wrong not to acknowledge that. "The American people were not being listened to. They were asking questions, and were basically told to shut up. That's no excuse to storm the capitol, but the American people still need to be heard." Unfortunately, the only thing we are hearing are more and more Republicans turning on Trump, even though he's the primary reason that several of them still have their jobs! Instead supporting the people, they are only out for themselves. And now looking ahead, when we hear threats, like the one from Forbes vowing to "hold those who lied for Trump accountable", Morse says "There is definitely going to be a witch hunt, it's going to get really bad before it gets better." The swamp is back.
