Three deputies with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office are recovering from gunshot wounds sustained in an overnight shooting at a Houston nightclub parking lot that claimed the life of a woman in her 40’s.
A suspect is in custody after turning up at a Sugar Land medical facility.
The shooting was reported after two Sunday morning at the Set Nightclub on Travis and Anita.
The deputies were off duty working security at the club.
A fight broke out in the parking lot and when the officers tried to break it up shots were fired.
A female deputy sustained an injury to the abdomen and is undergoing surgery. A male deputy was shot in the foot and another male deputy was shot in the hand and foot.
The Houston Police homicide unit is investigating.
