Spring ISD Going Door To Door Searching for Absent Students Today

Volunteers with Spring ISD are targeting students with low attendance as they launch a door-knocking campaign today from 10am to 1pm.

The initiative is called The Success Walk, part of the district’s “Every Day Counts, Attendance Matters” campaign.

Administrators for the district and teachers will be part of the effort to contact students who are either not attending in-person classrooms or are not engaging with online learning. They will also target seniors at risk of not graduating in the spring.

School superintendent Dr. Rodney E. Watson says the volunteers are hoping to remove an obstacles to the students’ success. “No students should feel like it’s too late or too difficult to turn things around.”
