The Los Angeles Times says Texas has more Covid-19 infected college students than any other state in the union!
Texas Tech, located in the West Texas town of Lubbock, has more cases than any other American college. There today is currently 2,200 students! Canceling football games just wasn’t seen as an option by officials at Texas Tech or other universities in the Big 12 Conference. They are requiring fans in the seats to wear face masks. The homecoming parade was called off this year. For formality's sake, this year's new King and Queen were still met in person by last year's King and Queen. They wore masks for the crowning ceremony.
At Saturday's game (Texas Tech Red Raiders beat the West Virginia Mountaineers 34-27) 15,000 fans were let in. That's 25% of capacity.
