Americans to Honor Fallen Law Enforcement Officers This Weekend

Friends, family, and supporters of law enforcement will come together from across the country this weekend to honor officers who have died in the line of duty.

The National Law Enforcement Memorial and Museum in Washington, D.C. will host a Weekend of Remembrance to honor those who have given their lives to protect others. On Saturday morning, the National Run for the Badge 5K will take place remotely across the country. On Sunday morning, a memorial and reading of the names of more than three hundred law enforcement members who died in the line of duty in 2019.

“We are putting forth this effort year after year after year, and we will never stop recognizing the brave men and women who gave their lives for you and for I so that we are safe in our communities,” Marcia Ferranto, The National Law Enforcement Memorial Fund CEO, said.

She expects many to live-stream Sunday Morning’s Ceremony at 10 AM Eastern (9 AM Central).
