The Trump Administration says Texas' oil and natural gas industry is vital to America’s energy dominance.
Mark Menezes, the Under Secretary of Energy, says the president is committed to helping oil and gas companies gain a better competitive advantage in the marketplace. Menezes speaking about trump's pro-energy policy with Texas oil and gas leaders in an online conference hosted by TXOGA Tuesday.
“[It’s] one that harnesses all of our available resources, providing choices to consumers while driving down prices and getting American energy producers to export energy around the globe,” Menezes said.
Part of that includes cutting Obama-era regulations. Earlier this month, the secretary of energy visited Houston, saying he's optimistic the industry is charting a steady comeback after the economic shutdown and a price war between Russia and Saudi Arabia.
