Houston Medical Supply Drive Next Wednesday

The City of Houston is partnering with Cheniere Energy, the Astros Foundation and Project CURE on a donation drive to college Personal Protection Equipment for medical personnel and first responders next Wednesday at Minute Maid Park.

Mayor Sylvester Turner asks businesses and individuals to donate PPE’s, including N95 masks, surgical masks, face shields, gloves, surgical and isolation gowns, protective coveralls, shoe covers, and hand sanitizer containing 70% alcohol.

The donated items will be distributed to mobile testing sites, first responders, and essential municipal personnel.

The PPE drive is Wednesday, April 8 from noon to 3 at the left field entrance to Minute Maid Park. Participants should use the east curb lane in the 500 block of Crawford between Texas and Congress. Only unopened packages will be accepted. The drive will be drop-off for a touch-free collection process in accordance with CDC guidelines.
