1969 Was the Best Year for Albums

This year marks the golden anniversary of rock music’s biggest year on vinyl. 50 years ago the music charts were dominated by albums destined to become classics, including The Who’s “Tommy”; Abby Road, the Beatles’ last album; Creedence Clearwater Revival’s “Green River”; Led Zepplin’s first album; Crosby, Still and Nash, and many more. This is a list of some of the top albums of 1969.

This is Billboard Magazine's list of the Top #1 albums of the year.
